Coastline master plan in the Basque country

The Côte Basque Adour Agglomeration Community wants to implement a sustainable strategy for the coastline in order to keep it
attractive. Erosion creates a gradual recess of the coastline, i.e. gradual beach loss and cliff
landslides.
The study included a detailed technical and urban assessment of the situation on the 45 kilometres that stretch along the coastal towns of Anglet, Bayonne, Biarritz, Bidart, Guéthary, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Ciboure, Urrugne, Hendaye and Hondarribia.
Firstly, the issues related to the coastline will be defined and prioritized. Secondly, different scenarios will be developed based on these considerations.
